The micro-distillery and Gin school has reopened again with us now being able to start welcoming guests back to visit us. Below we have the following safety measures in place as visitor health and safety is always paramount when coming to visit us in the school.
Covid-19 Policy
Visiting the Micro Distillery and Gin School
Due to the ongoing pandemic our classes at the Micro Distillery has had a stop & start phase over the last 15 months since the first lockdown.
However we can now welcome gin enthusiasts through our doors to enjoy our experiences with the current government guidelines allowing us to do so.
We have the following protocols in place to ensure visitor s afety:
-
In line with Scottish government guidelines we would encourage all visitors to any of our experiences to do a lateral flow test before joining us.
-
A thorough Covid-19 risk assessment has been completed to ensure our experiences can operate in a safe manner inline with the governments rules and guidelines.
-
A strict cleaning policy is in place before and after all classes where:
-
All surfaces are cleaned
-
All touch points are cleaned
-
All equipment cleaned and sterilised including all glassware.
-
-
With the micro distillery located in a private room in the basement of a public bar, when arriving and before entering the building we ask all visitors to:
-
Wear a face mask (also if using the toilets but can be taken off when seated in the micro distillery room).
-
Use the provided hand sanitiser located in the room
-
All visitors leave their contact details in the bars track and trace system at the front door.
-
-
All staff will wear a face mask when not behind a PVC safety screen in the micro distillery room. They will also wash their hands and use hand sanitiser regularly.
-
We have extensively reduced our class size capacity with no more than four people in the micro distillery at any one time from the same household (not including your host). If we have two groups of 2 on an experience from two separate households, we make sure there is enough space to socially distance between guests.
-
We always aim to provide a hands on experience where staff won't have to be close to visitors at anytime:
-
All drinks are pre-poured
-
Stations are pre set with all equipment needed
-
Each guest has access to their own botanical ingredients to avoid coming into contact with other guests.
-
-
Please try and not arrive until 10 minutes before your booked class time slot is due to start as there is no waiting room unfortunately.
Vouchers for the Micro Distillery and Gin School
-
We have extended all outstanding gift vouchers indefinitely to ensure peace and mind of everyone with a voucher that they will get to enjoy a 'Make your own gin experience' anytime in the future.
-
All newly purchased e gift vouchers going forward currently have an expiry date of 500 days form date of purchase to ensure peace of mind for booking onto future classes.
We ask if any of your party feel they may have any Covid-19 symptoms, please do not come to the micro distillery. Please contact us to let us know, then when it is safe to visit after your isolation period is over we can rearrange your visit.
We aim to provide a safe yet enjoyable experience for all our guests, we hope these safety actions we have in place meet your approval. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you require any further information.
We will regularly review any new government advice and make any updates or changes to our policy as and when needed.
Thanks for your co-operation and understanding.
