How much is a Sip Antics Gin Distill School Experience to use one mini still?
Each lesson costs £85 per person for one mini still use or £110 for a shared mini still use between two.
What do you get in the overall price of a single Sip Antics Distill School Experience?
Each class attendee will get a 500ml (50cl) bottle of bespoke handmade gin of 'their own unique recipe', at least four gin samples and a gin cocktail. (For shared experiences, please see the 'Can I bring along a partner to share my Distill School Experience' section below)
How do I book a Distill School Lesson?
Please click on the 'Gin School Tab' of this website and follow the instructions.
Click book now and select your preferred lesson date and time (subject to availability). Fill out your details and pay by debit/credit card on checkout. You will receive a confirmation of your booking and directions to the School by email.
When will I receive my Distill School Gift Ticket or Voucher?
You will receive your Distill School Ticket or Voucher by email no later than 12 hours after purchase of ticket. (Please note, emails can sometimes be found in junk mail folder)
How do I redeem my Distill School Gift Voucher?
Please click on the 'Gin School Tab' of this website and follow the instructions.
Click Redeem Voucher, enter your code and select your preferred lesson date and time (subject to availability).
Fill out your details.
You will receive a confirmation of your booking by email.
How long is a Gin Distill School Gift Voucher valid for?
Your Gift Voucher is valid for 6 months from the date of purchase and can be redeemed on any available Gin School lesson within that time period. Bookings cannot be cancelled or exchanged within 7 days of the event.
What shall I do if I don’t receive a booking confirmation by email?
If you do not receive a booking confirmation, please email info@sipantics.com.
How many places are there at a Gin Distill School lesson?
There are six mini copper pot stills at our Gin School
Can I bring along a partner to share my Gin Distill School Experience?
We do offer the chance for shared experiences at Sip Antics Gin Distill School, but these places are subject to availability due to the size and nature of the room. If we have space, your gin partner can join you in drinking the same gin samples and enjoy a cocktail but still only produce one bottle of bespoke 700ml (70cl) gin between you. A shared experience costs £110 and can be booked from our main gin school tab, where if you scroll down the page and click on 'Shared experience for two people to share a mini gin still' and click on available dates from our calendar to confirm a booking at the school.
I will be bringing my partner along for the day but they aren't taking part in the distill school experience, is there anywhere they can wait?
The Distill School classes can be very busy but the bar upstairs where the School is located is open from 12pm Monday to Saturday and 12.00pm on Sundays with lots of space, drinks and excellent food selections for your partner to wait while you complete your Gin School Experience.
When can I attend the Gin Distill School for my lesson?
You can attend any available Distill School Lesson. We host Gin School lessons at 4.30pm on Monday and Tuesday, 12pm on Thursday to Sunday. (Subject to availability)
How long is a Gin Distill School Lesson?
A Gin Distill School lesson is no more than three hours long.
Will I get to taste my Gin?
Yes you will be able to taste your gin. Our distiller will advise you when and how to best taste your gin during the distillation process.
How much gin will I make?
For a Single experience you will make a 500ml (50cl) bottle of gin to take home with you.
For a Shared experience you will make a 700ml (70cl) bottle of gin to take home between you.
How do I reorder my personalised bottle I made in the Gin Distill Experience?
Send us an email to info@sipantics.com and include your contact details, date you attended the Distill Experience and one of our team will get back to you.
How much is it to reorder my personalised bottle I made in the Gin Distill Experience?
It costs £38 (Includes postage in UK only)
How can I take my bottle of gin home if I am flying out of the country and I only have carry on luggage?
We can charge a fee depending on destination (UK only) to post your distilled bottle out to you at a later date. Please email info@sipantics.com for details.
When do you release new Gin Distill School dates?
We try to put new dates live every 3 months.
Are there any restrictions?
You must be over 18 to participate in the experience and we always practice responsible drinking.
Can I take photos during my Gin Distill School lesson?
Yes, you can take photographs during your lesson.
Where do I go for my Gin Distill School Lesson?
The gin school is located in a private basement room in 'The Cumberland Bar Edinburgh'. To access the room please head for the back of the bar and take a left for the stairs leading down to the basement 'gin school room'. Bar staff can also point you in the right direction and you will also be notified of the location for the Distill School lesson on your confirmation email.
Is the room used for the Gin Distill School accessible?
Unfortunately due to the building we use for the Distill School, we have no wheelchair access.
Where is the nearest train station?
The nearest train station is Waverly Station which is approx 15 mins walk away.
Can I reschedule my booking for a Gin Distill School lesson?
If you need to reschedule your Gin Distill School lesson, please contact us as soon as possible and no later than 7 days prior to your booking by emailing info@sipantics.com
We will do our best to reschedule your booking although we may not always have the availability for your preferred date.
Can I cancel my booking for a refund at any point?
If you would like to cancel your booking and request a refund then please do so by emailing info@sipantics.com. Please note that we require a minimum of 7 days notice and that bookings cancelled within 7 days or bookings paid for by a Gift Voucher are non-refundable.
