Bespoke gin school experience based in a private room at the 'Cumberland Bar' in the heart of Edinburgh, where you will be welcomed with a refreshing gin and tonic, with a brief introduction and outline of the session. You will then get to taste various different gin profiles to help you decide on your own unique recipe before creating your own 70cl bottle of gin. Using our mini copper stills, our distiller will guide you through the whole process, choosing from over sixty different botanicals to create your own recipe. While your mini still is distilling your chosen botanicals which lasts around 30 mins, you will get to enjoy a gin cocktail while you wait for the distilling process to end. You will then bottle, label, name and wax seal your final product to take home with you.
Each class lasts approx 3 hours and we have a maximum space for six people as we have five mini stills. We do offer the chance for class attendees to bring a gin partner or friend to share a still experience, please note these are subject to availability (please refer to the FAQ's section for further information.) The school is usually ran on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and we add new dates every three months, so check back if no available dates suits you or please inquire by email. For any corporate or private inquiries, please email directly to discuss availability. We also offer a "remake service" on all gin developed by anyone attending our classes to be remade and posted out to you at a later date. All "remake" orders should be emailed directly and paid for when ordering.
Simply use the form below and click the 'Gin School Experience' box to reveal a calendar of available dates, choose a date and fill in your details. We will email a booking confirmation to you with directions to the school.
Alternatively, buy a voucher for a gift or to book at a later date. All gift vouchers should be used to book a school class within 12 months, from date of purchase and bookings cannot be cancelled or exchanged within 7 days of the event. For any other information, please refer to FAQ's below.
